The She is Me Project is the result of a dream—a dream realized.  In May 2014, the dream became a reality and we have been moving forward and growing since that debut production...She is Me:  Monologues of My Sisters.  For many years, I had a dream of writing/producing and directing a play!  I know, a pretty massive undertaking for someone with no formal training in either segment of this dream.  My motivation was driven by a simple belief in myself--I believed I could do it.  And like anything else; that I thought I could accomplish, I knew I would at least attempt it.  As mentioned earlier, the idea of a play morphed into a series of  monologues.  I decided to include the experiences of women from different backgrounds, cultures and ages to inspire, educate, encourage  and foster healing for others.  The first project was a demonstration to my potential audience/supporters that as women, regardless of where we come from, our heritage, our background,  socio-economic status, our lives and experiences are similar.  I also wanted to encourage women/girls to stretch beyond their comfort zone--try things that they are interested in and things they may think they could not accomplish.

Our goal and focus, is to provide a platform for women and girls to share their life experiences; and talents with you, our audience , supporters and oftentimes, our cheerleaders!   We all have a story to tell, we all have experiences that, when shared, can benefit someone else.  We have talents to share with and encourage others.  We  all bring value “to the table”--we simply need to realize it.  The key word is “we”.  The She is Me Project is here to let you know you are not alone in your struggles, your challenges, your pain, your disappointments, your joys, your dreams,  your goals and your successes.  As women, we need to uplift and support one another.

We thank those that have been right there with us from the beginning—we greatly appreciate your continued love, support and encouragement.

I thank my son, Kejuan for his encouragement, belief in me and for seeing things that I was missing.  He basically gave me some valuable advice--do you!  He was telling me to use my energy, skills and talent to achieve my dreams and goals.
